Most of the credit for these animations should be given to the creators of the original icons. All we have done is added some motion. Without interesting icons to begin with, the animations would be a whole lot of nothing, moving around.
We have taken only public domain sources, and so the names of the original icon creators have been lost, but we can point in particular to the marvellous browser at Pisa which has been a valuable source of icons and also the main inspiration for this browser.
Other images came from among the sites listed on Yahoo's icon list. We tried to choose images which were already widespread (as unanimated icons) throughout the web by the end of 1995 (hence the name "Classic 100").
We would like to thank Stephen Linhart for adjustments made to the blue butterfly and to Iconation for permission to continue distribution of the dance line.
